Google Chrome Starts Marking All Non-HTTPS Sites ‘Not Secure’ – Worldwide

Google Chrome

Starting today with the release of Chrome 68, Google Chrome prominently marks all non-HTTPS websites as ‘Not Secure’ in its years-long effort to make the web a more secure place for Internet users. So if you are still running an insecure HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) website, many of your visitors might already be greeted with a ‘Not Secure’ message on their Google Chrome browser warning them that they can’t trust your website to be secure. Congress Blocks F-35 Fighter Shipments To Turkey – Turkey and The United States

F-35 Fighters

Congressional defense lawmakers officially barred deliveries of the fifth-generation F-35 Joint Strike Fighter to Turkish forces, inserting the ban into the final version of the Pentagon’s budget blueprint for the upcoming fiscal year. House and Senate conferees adopted the legislation, which prohibits shipments of the advanced, multi-role jet fighter to Ankara’s forces until the Pentagon delivers “an assessment of a significant change in Turkish participation in the F-35 program, including the potential elimination of such participation,” defense lawmakers wrote. Defense lawmakers also demanded the immediate release of U.S. Pastor Andrew Brunson, as well as any other “U.S. citizens wrongfully or unlawfully detained in Turkey,” in legislative language included in the defense spending bill, now headed to the White House for President Trump’s signature. Brunson was charged with espionage and having links to terror groups.

Crime Down 90% In Los Cabos – México

Los Cabos, Mexico

Crime is down 90 percent in Los Cabos since 2017, according to the latest statistics released by the Los Cabos Tourism Board. Mirroring recent comments made to Travel Agent by Los Cabos Tourism Board Managing Director Rodrigo Esponda, the Tourism Board reports that the implementation of a new security plan has resulted in a sharp decline in crime, following a spike in gang violence last year. The five-point security plan involves working with the U.S. State Department to enhance security protocols, creating a “Rapid Response Network,” an accelerated security surveillance program, adding new security bases and personnel, and a hotel security committee. On the subject of the gang turf war that was at the center of the violence, one villa owner told the Tourism Board, “…the Mexican federal government brought in literally thousands of military and federal police, totally cleaned it up, and left a small presence to insure everything was fine.
