G4S Compliance & Investigations Employee Saves Life of Young Girl

G4S Compliance & Investigations employee Steve Hopkins, recently saved the life of a young girl in an act of complete selflessness.

The incident took place while a team of C&I employees were in downtown Raleigh to participate in a volunteer event. The team was walking to the event location when they heard a mother yell out a girl’s name. Several members of the team turned around to see that a little girl had run out into the middle of a busy intersection. Without hesitation, Steve ran into the road in front of a large truck, yelling and putting his arms up to get it to stop. Because of his efforts, he was able to prevent the girl from being hit.

After Steve’s heroic act, C&I President Mike Malone presented him with the Malone Merit Award in recognition of his bravery and outstanding character.
