The G4S Chile team recently assisted a client during a driving safety campaign at the Lomas Bayas copper mine located 120 km (75 miles) northwest of the city of Antofagasta in northern Chile.
G4S personnel randomly measured and reported driving speeds of mining personnel on the property in conjunction with a driving course conducted by Health Safety Environment and Community (HSEC) staff.
Owned by Glencore, one of the world’s largest globally diversified natural resources company, the Lomas Bayas copper mine extracts 75,000 metric tons of copper each year.
